Baran (Rajasthan) June 10, 2021: A woman in Rajasthan’s Baran killed her three-year-old granddaughter to teach a lesson to another person over a dispute. The woman killed the girl and falsely accused one Rameshwar Mogya of killing the girl, after a dispute with him.
The police, however, interrogated the 50-year-old woman, identified as Kanakbai, and arrested her for allegedly killing her granddaughter.
The incident happened in Borina village of Rajasthan’s Baran area last month after two groups allegedly fought with each other on the way to fetch water.
SP Vinit Kumar Bansal told India Today TV that on May 30, two groups in Borina village were engaged in a dispute over the way to fetch water, which later turned into a scuffle in which some people sustained injuries.
In this dispute, a three-year-old girl, the daughter of Amarlal Mogya, was killed. The family later filed a complaint against Rameshwar Mogya for killing the girl.
During the investigation, the police found that Rameshwar Mogya’s daughter, too, had sustained injuries in the scuffle. Kanakbai threatened Rameshwar Mogya against filing a complaint against them.
Suspicious about her activities, the police questioned the woman and arrested her later.
